MODERNISATION OF HEATING SUBSTATIONS IN THE PIOMA-ODLEWNIA PATTERN AND FETTLING SHOPS

Beneficiary: PIOMA-ODLEWNIA Spółka z o.o.

Total task value: PLN 439,900

Form of financing: loan from the funds of the REGIONAL FUND FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND WATER MANAGEMENT IN ŁÓDŹ www.wfosigw.lodz.pl

Loan value: PLN 259,800

PROJECT FINANCED BY THE REGIONAL FUND FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND WATER MANAGEMENT IN ŁÓDŹ

The project covers:

Tasks within eligible costs:
1. Supply of electricity, water to the W1 heating substation rooms in the Pattern Shop
2. Supply of electricity, water to the W2 heating substation rooms in the Fettling Shop
3. Delivery and installation of a W1 heating substation in the Pattern Shop
4. Delivery and installation of a W2 heating substation in the Fettling Shop
Also tasks within non-eligible costs:
1. Construction works in the W1 heating substation room in the Pattern Shop
2. Construction works in the W2 heating substation room in the Fettling Shop

The structure of the heating substation is supported by a steel frame and adjusted to the size of the room and transportation capacities. Each heating substation is equipped with complete thermal insulation and control switchgear, equipped with electrical protection, indicator lamps and operating mode switches.

Each substation has documentation attached, including a flowchart with a list of devices and fittings, device selection sheet, wiring diagram, required attestations, UDT (Office of Technical Inspection) documentation, warranty cards, and heating substation pressure test report.

Thermal power loss through the uninsulated surface of water heating cylinders, improperly insulated pipelines and maintenance of utility water in the cylinders below the temperature of 70-80°C was estimated at 12-16 kW.

Additional savings come from the reduction of thermal power ordered for the purposes of utility water.

The savings resulting from the change of the temperature of hot water running from heating cylinders from high parameters, i.e. 125/70°C to 90/70°C or 100/70 X without modernisation of the internal installation, may be determined at 10-15 %, if all premises were previously overheated.

FURAN MOULDING RECLAMATION STATION WITH CHROMITE SAND RECOVERY

Beneficiary: PIOMA-ODLEWNIA Spółka z o.o.

Total task value: PLN 5,787,376
Form of financing: loan from the funds of the REGIONAL FUND FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND WATER MANAGEMENT IN ŁÓDŹ www.wfosigw.lodz.pl

Loan value: PLN 3,000,000

PROJECT FINANCED BY THE REGIONAL FUNDS FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND WATER MANAGEMENT IN ŁÓDŹ

Scope of the project:

Construction of furan moulding station with chromite sand recovery with the capacity of 10 t/h, including:
1. Grating shake-out with 20t load capacity,
2. Hot reclaim tank, V=90m3,
3. Chromite separator (four-stage separation),
a) Separation stage I – quartz sand is separated from chromite sand in a strong magnetic field,
b) Separation stage II – residues of quartz sand, particles of ceramic materials (from e.g. inlet systems and power units) and other low-density hazardous materials are separated from chromite sand,
c) Separation stage III – the remaining impurities (mainly from ceramic materials of >1mm grit), which were not removed in Separation stage II, are now removed,
d) Separation stage IV – final separation of degenerated chromite grains, quartz sand, chamotte and other substances that become magnetic as a result of iron oxides sticking to them,
4. Sand container with different volumes (specified further),
5. 2 doser-mixers of 20 and 10 t/h capacities,
6. 7m3 tanks above the mixers,
7. Dust extraction system with a throughput of 25,000 m3 /h.
Also a station cleaning system with the inter-nave moulding box transport system and additional crane girders to enable the crane to reach these boxes.
